Billy Ballew Motorsports is in talks with Michael Waltrip about a Camping World Truck Series ride with the team this coming season. Waltrip is looking to run a few races, while Ballew wants him for a full-time ride.
Michael Waltrip was involved in a collision with a motorcycle, according to the Charlotte Observer. Waltrip was attempting to make a U-turn at the time of the accident. He was cited for failure to yield.
Michael Waltrip said the he, too, has met with Danica Patrick about a potential future in NASCAR. He said that she toured his Michael Waltrip Racing facility, and that he is interested in fielding a car or truck in the Nationwide Series or Camping Wold Truck Series, respectively.
It’s official: Martin Truex Jr will move from Earnhardt Ganassi Racing to Michael Waltrip Racing next season in the No. 56 NAPA Toyota Camry. Michael Waltrip will remain in the No. 55 on a part time basis. Waltrip’s team will also be sponsored by NAPA. This move has been expected for weeks.
