X-Games and Rally Cross champion Travis Pastrana will drive Roush Fenway Racing’s No. 60 Nationwide Series entry in the Virginia 529 College Savings 250 at Richmond International Raceway.
MikeMulhern.Net is reporting that former crew chief for Richard Childress Racing’s No. 31 Sprint Cup team Todd Berrier may be headed to a Toyota team, most likely Michael Waltrip Racing, or an MWR-affiliated team, which includes JTG Daugherty Racing and Pastrana Waltrip Racing.
According to a Bob Pockrass tweet, Joe Gibbs Racing announced that Ryan Truex, driver of the No. 99 Pastrana-Waltrip Racing Toyota in the Nationwide Series and brother of Sprint Cup Series driver Martin Truex Jr, will drive the No. 20 Toyota in six Nationwide events this season. Travis Pastrana’s Nationwide Series debut is in serious doubt after the X-Games-star-turned-NASCAR-driver failed to land a trick and broke his right foot and ankle. Pastrana suffered the injury during the Moto X Best Trick final.
Travis Pastrana will make his first Nationwide Series start at Indianpolis Motor Speedway in July. He will drive the No. 99 Boost Mobile Toyota for Pastrana-Waltrip Racing. Boost Mobile and Samsung Mobile will sponsor Pastrana for seven races in the 2011 N’wide Series. He plans to run 20 races in 2012.
