Rondeau joined FRR in 2010 as car chief and quickly became crew chief of the No. 78 Sprint Cup Series entry.

Kurt Busch will drive the No. 78 in the Sprint Cup Series this season, replacing Regan Smith. Smith will drive for JR Motorsports in the Nationwide Series.

Rondeau has been fined $25,000 for violating sections 12-1 (actions detrimental to stock car racing) and 20-2.3A (improperly attached weight) of the 2011 NASCAR rule book. The violation occurred during practice on March 25.

Rondeau joined the team in 2009 after stints with Richard Petty Motorsports, Dale Earnhardt Inc, and Jasper Motorsports.
