Carl Edwards took the lead of the Zippo 200 at the Glen with 10 laps to go and held on to win in his first Nationwide Series start of the season.
Nelson Piquet Jr became the first Brazilian to win a NASCAR national series race with his win in the Sargento 200 at Road America.

After a bit of uncertainty, Reed Sorenson was declared the winner of the Bucyrus 200 Nationwide Series race at Road America.

JR Motorsports announced that road course ringer Ron Fellows will pilot its No. 5 Fastenal Chevy in two Nationwide Series road course races. Fellows will drive at Watkins Glen International and Cirque Gilles Villeneuve in August.
Ron Fellows will pilot Phoenix Racing’s No. 09 Miccosukee Chevy at Infineon Raceway and Watkins Glen International, according to Jayski.
