BCR’s No. 43 To Feature Red Cross Scheme

Baker Curb Racing announced that Scott Lagasse Jr’s No. 43 Nationwide Series Ford Fusion will run an American Red Cross paint scheme during the Royal Purple 200 at Darlington Raceway on Friday night to assist with relief efforts for the flooding in Nashville. Greg Biffle’s No. 27 Ford Fusion will feature a Red Cross logo on its C-post.

Ragan Wins Aaron's 312

David Ragan passed Ryan Newman a few hundred feet from the start-finish line to win the Nationwide Series Aaron’s 312 from Talladega Superspeedway.

On the final lap, Newman led with a push from Dale Earnhardt Jr. Coming off turn 4, Jr peeked out to the outside. Newman went to block, and made some minor contact, killing Jr’s momentum. Ragan, with a push from Joey Logano, squeezed between Jr and Tony Raines and came up along side of Newman. The two made hard contact, but Ragan was able to keep his momentum and win the race.

Top 5: Ragan, Newman, Logano, Raines, Earnhardt Jr.

Jason Leffler, Jason Keller, Scott Lagasse Jr, Brad Keselowski, and Kyle Busch finished sixth through 10th.

Notables: Carl Edwards (13th), Brian Vickers (20th), Steve Wallace (34th), Matt Kenseth (35th), and Michael Waltrip (40th).

Logano Wins Pepsi 300

Joey Logano passed his Joe Gibbs Racing teammate Kyle Busch with nine to go and held him and Brad Keselowski off to win the Nationwide Series’ Pepsi 300 at Nashville Speedway. The victory is his second in the series.

Top 5: Logano, Busch, Keselowski, Kelly Bires, and Carl Edwards.

Jason Leffler, David Ragan, Mike Bliss, Steve Wallace, and Scott Lagasse Jr finished sixth through 10th.

Notables: Michael Waltrip (16th), Brendan Gaughan (17th), Dennis Setzer (20th), Scott Wimmer (28th), and Joe Nemecheck (34th).

With nine laps to go Joe Nemecheck was involved in a wreck and went for a wild ride.

Biffle Wins Caution-Filled Sam's Town 300

Greg Biffle survived a green-white-checker finish, a pit road penatly, and running out of gas, to win a caution-filled Sam’s Town 300 from Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Top 5: Biffle, Carl Edwards, Brian Vickers, Jason Leffler, and Dale Earnhardt Jr.

Michael McDowell, Brendan Gaughan, Justin Allgaier, Scott Lagasse Jr, and Jeff Burton finished sixth through 10th, respectively.

Notables: Scott Wimmer (11th), Denny Hamlin (21st), David Ragan (26th), Brad Keselowski (27th), Kevin Harvick (29th), Steve Wallace (30th), Kyle Busch (39th), and pole sitter Scott Speed (40th).

Several contenders had trouble in the race. Busch, Hamlin, and Harvick all were involved in accidents, and the race was filled with cautions. See the accidents here.

Give a call to Justin Allgaier and Scott Lagasse Jr. Both of them had strong runs, with Allgaier being in position to win late in the race. He had a strong car, but drove a little to hard and got into the outside wall. He rebounded to finish eighth. Lagasse finished ninth.
