The No. 35 will appear in the Coke Zero 400 at Daytona International Speedway next month. The car will also attempt to race at Charlotte Motor Speedway and Talladega Superspeedway in October, and Texas Motor Speedway and Homestead-Miami Speedway in November.

TBR originally announced that Steve Park would drive the “Ole Blue” No. 35 tribute car at Daytona, but they decided that Park would run that car at New Hampshire Motor Speedway in September due to sponsorship and the fact that donations, which are used to finance the tribute car, are far less than last year, and are not enough to run at Daytona.

TBR posted on its Facebook page:

Steve Park Old blue car will move to the 2nd New Hamshire race. We only have raise(d) $3,000 so far and we figure if we run that race maybe we can attract more of a fan base from New England. We have commited to that car and we will do it. Steve is working on some other things to possibly run a couple more races in the 35 car. Our goal is to have 2 cars full time for the start of 2012.

Later, they added:

If anybody thinks we would screw over Steve Park is crazy. We are like brothers and we will represent the old blue the best we can but we need help with the donations.

Park will also drive the team’s No. 35 Chevy in this weekend’s Aaron’s 499 at Talladega Superspeedway. No sponsor has been named for Park’s car.

In related news, Golden Corral will sponsor TBR’s No. 36 and driver Dave Blaney in this weekend’s race. This will be the second installment of the Racing for American Families promotion. Golden Corral teamed up with TBR earlier this season in the Daytona 500.

As part of the promotion, Golden Corral will offer a one-day “Kids Eat Free” promotion on Monday, April 18th if Blaney and the No. 36 Golden Corral Chevrolet finish in the top-10 in the race. Golden Corral will also make a $10,000 donation to the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) on behalf of the #36 Golden Corral Chevrolet race team

The team plans to run the full races at Richmond International Raceway and New Hampshire Motor Speedway, and will field the No. 35 in addition to the No. 36 at Richmond and New Hampshire.

The team is also considering Steve Park for the fall race at Talladega Superspeedway.

On start-and-parking, Tommy Baldwin said:

I love that all you guys get frustrated when we start and park, but nobody gets as mad as me. It’s very aggravating to know deep down how good of a little race team we have, and when we do race we can finish in the top 25 with 1/32 of the budget. Nobody understands being a racer as much as I do as I’ve been doing this my whole life, and [I] think sometimes [I] have be pretty successful doing it with some great people working around me. We at TBR are trying as hard we can to find the proper funding and partners to be part of our program. I wake up every day to make this program as successful [as] we can in today’s hard ecomonic times. I hope someday we all can look back and say MAN WHAT A RIDE THIS WAS.

Also, there is an entry for a No. 35 to attempt the Helluva Good! Sour Cream Dips At The Glen at Watkins Glen International. That entry, however, is not a TBR entry.
