While battling for the lead late in the O'Reilly Auto Parts 250 at Kansas Speedway, Johnny Sauter and Ron Hornaday made contact, causing both cars to slide sideways. Sauter brushed the wall, but both saved their trucks without spinning. Sauter was able to correct a bit quicker than Hornaday, which allowed him to maintain the lead. He went on to win the race

Kyle Busch announced that he has purchased the assets of Xpress Motorsports, and is starting his own Camping World Truck Series team, Kyle Busch Motorsports. Busch will drive for his own team, as will Brian Ickler and Tayler Malsam. Johnny Benson may also drive for KBM, pending sponsorship
