Roush Fenway Racing is finalizing a deal to put X-Games star Travis Pastrana into one of its Fords in the Nationwide Series full time in 2013.
X-Games and Rally Cross champion Travis Pastrana will drive Roush Fenway Racing’s No. 60 Nationwide Series entry in the Virginia 529 College Savings 250 at Richmond International Raceway.
The 2012 Nationwide Series schedule was unveiled recently, and it is highlighted by an inaugural trip to Indianapolis Motor Speedway in the summer.
Travis Pastrana’s Nationwide Series debut is in serious doubt after the X-Games-star-turned-NASCAR-driver failed to land a trick and broke his right foot and ankle. Pastrana suffered the injury during the Moto X Best Trick final.
Travis Pastrana will make his first Nationwide Series start at Indianpolis Motor Speedway in July. He will drive the No. 99 Boost Mobile Toyota for Pastrana-Waltrip Racing. Boost Mobile and Samsung Mobile will sponsor Pastrana for seven races in the 2011 N’wide Series. He plans to run 20 races in 2012.
Motorcyclist and rally car driver Travis Pastrana is going to make the move from Rally America to NASCAR next season driving a Pastrana-Waltrip Racing Toyota in the Nationwide Series.
